Pair of Swedish Gustavian Style Lacquered Three-Tier Drinks Table

Gorgeous pair of 19th-century Swedish drink tables made in the neoclassical gustavian taste. The lacquered three-tier tables feature a marble tile stone inset top and two hand-caned shelves. The shelves are supported by tulip bud vase shaped legs with flower bud carved bottoms. The bottom legs end with patinated brass casters. The tables have a lovely aged and distressed patina on the painted finish with intricate carved details. The tables could also serve as cake or muffin stands on top of the serving table. The finish is a dark robins egg green tone or moss green that is nicely contrasted by the cane. The tile tops are 12 inch by 12 inch pieces that could be changed for different color or stone. Older caned shelves are intact. Sold as a pair. From an estate in Napa Valley, CA.
