Gorgeous pair of hardwood rope armchairs made in the California coastal organic modern style by artisans at The Wicker Works San Francisco, CA. Known as the Hopkins chair (model #9303-FO) it features a hardwood frame covered with woven natural rope in a decorative lattice pattern. The generous seat has optional fitted leather seat cushion and arms measuring 26 inches high. Sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The rope and leather have a faded patina as seen in photos. The seat is supported by tapered legs. From an estate in Malibu, CA. Sold as a pair. The inspiration for the Hopkins chair was take from 1940's French Riviera furniture made from hemp due to shortages of materials in France.
