Pair of Neoclassical Style Savonarola Benches with Curule Legs

Extraordinary pair of mahogany Savonarola benches or stools made in the neoclassical taste. The stools feature x frames with parcel gilt accents and Napoleonic empire wheel motifs. The gracefully curved legs end with stylized paw feet. The upholstered seat is topped with an oversized seat cushion in a geometric pattern lattice design fabric in a Napoleon Scheele's green tone. The seat measures 14 inches high without the pillow cushion. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a stunning profile.
