Pair of Neoclassical Louis XVI Style Giltwood Mirrors


Grand pair of French Louis XVI style giltwood pier mirrors or mantle mirrors made in the neoclassical taste. The rectangular mirrors are decorated with large Greek key designs on each corner and draped by laurel swag ropes with acanthus leaves. The mirror is surmounted by large C scrolls on the crest flanked with floral filled cornucopia horns on each side. Centered by a neoclassical vase crowned with a flower spray. The bottom is decorated with a large bow in the middle and the mirrors are supported by small columns of acanthus. Made in France and in excellent condition with superior craftsmanship.
