Pair of Neoclassical Louis XVI Style Caned Bergere Lounge Chairs


Luxurious matching pair or French neoclassical style caned bergeres or lounge armchairs made in the grand Louis XVI taste. The armchairs feature a molded frame with double cane panels on the sides. The generous seat has a wide square back with a fitted loose seat cushion. The padded arms measure 24 inches high and the seat is supported by classic tapered and fluted legs. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with newly upholstered frame and cushions in a neutral cream colored linen style fabric. The frames have a rich, dark stain that beautifully contrasts the light fabric. The deep seats are very comfortable and plush. From an an estate in Beverly Hills, CA.
