Dramatic pair of rattan swivel bar stools made in the California coastal organic modern style by McGuire artisans. The stools feature a pole rattan frame with a gracefully curved back having a caned interior. The generous fixed, padded seat swivels and is supported by thick round legs conjoined by a brass round foot rail. The rattan is lashed together on the exposed joints with leather rawhide laces. The stools have an impressive black lacquered finish with gilt fabric seat cushions. The stools are sturdy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Exceptional condition given age and use as seen in photos. Sold as a pair from a grand winery estate in the Napa Valley, CA. McGuire makers plaques on bottoms of seats.
