Pair of McGuire Ebonized Oak Campaign Style Directors Chairs

Dramatic pair of directors chairs or dining armchairs made by McGuire. The pair feature oak frames with a lacquered, ebonized finish having leather rawhide laces on the exposed joints. The folding chairs are made in the campaign style with brilliant polished brass hardware on the x form legs. The faux leather slings have a rich marbleized finish and are very soft and comfortable. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with McGuire plaques on each chair. Very well preserved condition from an estate in San Francisco, CA. These late 20th century iconic chairs were designed in the 1970s by Leonard Linden for McGuire.
