Pair of Maison Jansen Style Neoclassical Iron Granite Consoles
$20,000.00
Grand pair of French Iron and granite stone top console tables made in the style and manner of Maison Jansen. The long bases feature an iron construction decorated with crossed arrows inspired by Directoire and Empire periods in the neoclassical taste. The iron has an intentionally distressed patina with verdigris to mimic bronze accented by parcel gilt arrows and orbs. Each console has a 55 inch opening underneath to accommodate stools. The bases are topped with heavy slabs of granite stone measuring over 1 inch thick. The stone tops have an aged, weathered patina that matches the iron finish. The consoles are heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Sold as a pair.
