Magnificent pair of Maison Jansen long or longue bergere armchairs made in the Classic Louis XVI taste. Handcrafted from beech in the style of duchesse or chairs longue. Featuring a molded frame decorated with rosettes and scrolled arms. The frame is upholstered with a glove soft leather, brass tack border, and a loose seat cushion. The padded arms are 26 inches high. Supported by elegant fluted and tapered legs. From an estate in San Francisco, CA. Rare pieces from famous French maker Maison Jansen who was founded by Jean-Henri Jansen, 1880.
