Pair of Louis XIII Style Walnut Barstools by Dennis & Leen

Fabulous pair of walnut barstools designed by Dennis & Leen in the manner of 17th century French Louis XIII. The frames have a triangular form constructed with wood peg joinery. The unique square back conjoins to gracefully curved arms with scrolled ends. The arm supports and front legs are turned and conjoin with a box stretcher and a footrest. The arms measure 36.5 inches high. Upholstered with a geometric design fabric having a gilt thread pattern over a black ground. The fabric is bordered by brass tack nailhead trim. The stools have an intentional light distressed finish on the rich wood to show age. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a handsome European profile.
