Pair of French Louis XVI Style Walnut Armchairs

Grand pair of French armchairs featuring hand-carved walnut frames with an open arm. Made in the Louis XVI manner and style with neoclassical acanthus leaves and rosettes on the tops of the legs. The generous seat has a flat back and a humped crest. The chairs have been reupholstered with a cream toned textured fabric. The gracefully curved arms measure 23 inches high. The seats are supported by fluted and tapered legs. Very solid and comfortable with thick, fitted loose seat cushions. From an estate in Napa Valley, CA.
