Pair of English Regency Style Sage Velvet Dining Chairs

Rare and unusual pair of English regency style dining chairs or hall chairs with a sage green velvet upholstery. The chairs feature a curved back crest with scrolls on the ends resembling stylized ram's heads. The scrolls have parcel gilt accents. The frames are constructed from beech wood with klismos style saber legs in the front and scrolls on the tops. The vintage cut velvet fabric still shows well and is presentable. Classic regency profile and neoclassical cues with a mohair style upholstery. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
