Pair of English Georgian Cigar Leather Porters Wingback Chairs


Rare pair of handsome English porters wingback armchairs or library chairs made in the Georgian taste. Featuring a rich, tufted brown cigar leather upholstery that has faded into a warm cafe ole tone. The leather is bordered with brass tack nail heads. The hardwood frame features large porter style wings and English rolled arms over the bowed front seat. The chairs are supported by square tapered legs in front and curved square legs in back. Made in the classic English Chesterfield style with a unique distinctive profile. Large and substantial having a wonderful smell of old leather. Original brown leather color is still visible in the leather tufts.
