Pair of Edo Period Japanese Red Lacquer Table Cabinets


Remarkable pair of matching diminutive Japanese storage cabinets featuring a thick coromandel style lacquer base with finely painted idyllic scenes. Accented with gilt trim and brass hardware plates. Decorated on four sides and the interior, these delicate pieces are supported by a shaped base. Each table cabinet has two shelves inside. Late Edo period with a Chinese style.

Condition: Distressed. Cracks and losses with a lovely aged distressed finish.
