A handsome French wrought aluminum Neoclassical bench crafted in the style of Diego Giacometti. The bench is constructed on an X-form base with gracefully curved, sleigh end supports sweeping upward and terminating in horned iron uprights joined by a straight crossbar. Each end is anchored by an intricate cluster of bound aluminum rods tied around a central ring motif. A matching knotted ring motif appears again on the lower cross-stretcher, creating a graphic symmetry across the piece. The seat is crafted out of a slatted iron base topped by a loose fitted box cushion upholstered in a neutral ivory upholstery. The bench has a dramatic profile constructed from hand-wrought aluminum and finished in a deep matte black ebonized finish.
