Neoclassical directoire style three-shelf bookcase or display shelf made in the style and manner of Maison Jansen. The case features three shelves measuring 4, 16, and 29 inches high with a turned finish on the tops. The shelves are supported by five thick round legs with turned finial tops and turned feet. The top shelf has a galleried border and the legs and border have stylish x form motif stretchers conjoining them. Heavy and solid with a dramatic profile and patinated finish on the exposed steel. Perfect for a small library or for displaying curiosities. One piece that does not disassemble.
