Neoclassical Louis XVI Style Mahogany and Silk Cabriole Sofa
$12,000.00
Absolutely stunning bespoke cabriole sofa settee featuring a gracefully curved mahogany frame. The frame was painstakingly crafted to appear as an 18th Century Louis XVI period piece with a beautifully aged, distressed patina on the finish. The exposed wood frame has a humped back that curves to the arms and conjoins the seat. Upholstered with a raw silk fabric that has a linen style finish. Bordered with small patinated brass tack nail heads around the frame. The seat is fitted with a large loose seat cushion. The seat is supported by three neoclassical style round tapered legs in the front and two splayed legs in the rear. Amazing profile with sinuous lines in an uncluttered Minimalist design. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship from an estate in Beverly Hills, CA.
