Dramatic Empire style curule leg armchair featuring an ebonized lacquer finish. Decorated with neoclassical gilt embellishments depicting mermaids and mythical creatures on the seat rail. The gracefully curved arms are supported with columns having acanthus capitals and topped with gilt ball finials.
