Striking Moorish Middle Eastern or Islamic-style drinks or side table featuring an octagram top over a faceted base. The surface is richly painted in a saturated polychrome palette: an oxblood red background with cream, green, turquoise, cobalt, black, and gilt-toned accents in an Islamic or Moorish geometric pattern. The body also features scrolling arabesque ornaments, Moorish-style shaped cutouts and stylized pointed-arch motifs along the pierced base legs. Likely mid-20th century construction from Morocco or North Africa. Equally suited as a side table, drinks table, plant stand, occasional table, or pedestal. Lovely aged patina on the painted finish to commensurate age and use. From an estate in San Fransisco, California.
