Mid-Century Harvey Probber Burger Bun Pink Velvet Sofa

Spectacular Mid-Century Modern sofa designed by Italian architect Adriano Piazzesi for Harvey Probber Inc. Burger bun is a whimsical kidney shaped form design sofa crafted from a steel frame molded with polyurethane foam to create the overstuffed appearance. The pink velvet style fabric cover features a unique belt design that cinches in the middle giving the sofa a waisted form and buckling at the back. Designed to be easily transformed by interchanging with additional slip covers. The original upholstery while faded is still presentable and gives the sofa the appearance of a large pink cloud. Rare and unique with a dramatic profile. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
