A grand Baroque "Panache Barcelona" round center or dining table designed by Michael Taylor (Model # PAN-1255). The substantial table is executed in dark stained hardwood with a richly sculptural pedestal base. The design features a large circular top above an architectural understructure composed of interlocked scrolling supports, a turned central column, and three finely carved outwardly sweeping legs. The base creates a focal point of sculptural interlaced scrolls around an ornately carved and turned central column. The wood is finish in a dark mahogany tone, accented by a subtle geometric veneered pattern on top with a thick banded edge. The design is rooted in Mediterranean and Spanish Baroque styles with Michael Taylor's signature refined Californian romantic style. The piece is functional as a center, entry, dining, or library table. The table is sturdy and strong having excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The hardwood has an intentionally distressed, lightly weathered patina on the finish to mimic age. From an estate in Bel Air, CA.
