Louis XVI Style Mahogany Tambour Writing Table


Elegant French Louis XVI style mahogany tambour writing table or desk also known as a Bureau De Dame, or cylinder desk. Features a roll top design with a flip top leather writing surface that measures 24 by 16 inches. Created by Maitland-Smith's Theodore Alexander line of hand-crafted furniture. The case is made of 1" inch thick mahogany and is fronted by one large drawer that opens the roll top desk. The fitted interior has 6 drawers and an interior shelf. The piece is surmounted by a leather top shelf that has a decorative brass gallery.
