Louis XVI Style Bronze Mounted Marble Top Mahogany Sideboard


Grand French mahogany sideboard buffet or server featuring a thick Italian carrara marble top. Beautifully crafted in the neoclassical Louis XVI taste embellished with bronze mounts and trim. The front of the case has four locking doors showcasing the radiant flame mahogany veneers. The doors open to reveal shelved storage areas finished in high gloss blonde beech wood and French blue felt lining. The case has pilaster column front corners with bronze mounts and conforming marble top with an ogee edge. Above the storage area are three large drawers with brass pulls having felt linings. The drawers are separated by reeded bronze mount pilasters. The case is supported by eight fluted and tapered legs ending with brass sabots. The top of the sideboard is signed by the maker. This is one of the finest quality French cabinets we have seen. All keys available. Made in the manner and style of Maison Jansen.
