Japanese Two-Sided Folding Byobu Silk Screen


Unique Japanese two-sided folding byobu screen featuring paintings on silk depicting a garden scene on one side and three ducks with prunus on the opposite side. The front side having a gilt background and the opposite a cream silvered ground. The two-panel screen is set in a natural wood frame with brass protectors. Both sides are signed and stamped and have a rich sheen on the vintage silk backgrounds. This rare dual-sided style allows for use on a tabletop or as a floor screen between rooms.
