Japanese Two Panel Screen of Child with Geese


Interesting Japanese Meiji period two-panel Byobu screen depicting a child holding bamboo shoots and following a pair of geese. The faded landscape in the background once decorated with gold specs is now only remnants. The painting is set in an ebonized wood frame with a traditional style silk brocade border. Purchased from an estate in San Francisco, CA.

Condition: Good, minor wear consistent with age and use. Age appropriate wear and fading. The back side has a small loss.
