Large Japanese late Meiji period six panel screen featuring six Chinese brush calligraphy poems in semi-cursive script. Ink on handcrafted paper mounted onto gold leaf squares and set in an ebonized frame. The screen is mounted open for displaying on a wall and does not fold with hardware attached. Beautifully crafted and signed on the left side with a seal. From an estate in Malibu, CA.
