Extraordinary Japanese six-panel Meiji period screen depicting individual scenes of flora and fauna. The animals include a chicken, puppies, two birds, and two red crowned cranes. Each panel has two artist seals and is mounted in a lacquered frame. The paintings are set on gold fleck paper with a silk brocade border of blue. Ink and colored pigments on paper that shows beautifully. From an estate in Bel Air, CA.
