Large 18th century Japanese six panel Edo period screen depicting village farming and agricultural landscape scenes. Ink on paper painting signed from the brush of Fujiwara Morimasa with seal made in the Maruyama-Shijo school style. The screen features a pagoda house with figures involved in daily tasks. The landscape shows farmers, fisherman, and musicians with a river and mountain backdrop. Set in a lacquered wooden frame with a blue silk border. From an estate in Bel Air, CA.
