Japanese Showa Period Egret Painting by Miyata Yodo


Ink and color on silk painting by Miyata Yodo of egret in red nandina or sacred bamboo. Beautiful representation of early Showa period (1926-1940) Japanese art by artist from the Sedagi district of Tokyo. Yodo was born in the 33rd year of Meiji in 1900. This painting is set in a delicate snow covered winter scene and has an artist seal on the bottom right. Museum quality framing with conservation glass set in a dark wood frame. Original label from Tokyo, Japan en verso.
