Exceptional Japanese four-panel Byobu screen of a mountain landscape painted on silk. The background features mountains and waterfalls with a small treed village in the center. The silk has a delicate water silk texture that adds another dimension. Vivid greens and white tones accent the painting. Signed and sealed on bottom right. Dated on verso. Set in a gilt wood finished frame with a silk brocade border. Pierced brass accents on the corners.
