Japanese Four-Panel Screen Autumn Maple and Chrysanthemum


Delightful Japanese Showa period four-panel screen depicting an autumn maple tree over a bamboo fence with flowering chrysanthemums and a small bird. Ink and color pigments painted on radiant gilt colored silk. Made in the Nihonga school style signed with a seal on the left side. Set in a black lacquered frame with a silk brocade border. Provenance: From the estate of Maury and Yasuko Kraines, Rancho Mirage, CA.
