Italian Regency Florentine Trompe l'oeil Secretary Desk

Impressive Italian regency two-part Trompe l'oeil secretaire with a drop-front desk made in Florence. The case features beautifully hand-painted whimsical motifs that decorate the case. The drop front desk measures 29.5 inches high and is fitted with three small storage drawers inside. Below the desk are three large storage drawers with patinated brass pulls. The case is supported by shaped bracket feet. The top bookcase has two doors opening to a three shelf storage area and decorated with a broken pediment cornice top. Made by Pieri and Sons, Florence, Italy with a makers stamp on the back of the case. From an estate in Napa Valley, CA.
