Important Pair of Equestrian Riding Boots Mounted as Table Lamps


Beautifully mounted pair of Equestrian riding boots belonging to Oakland, CA resident Howard "Chan" Turnley. Turnley was in several events with the US Olympic Equestrian team during the 1960 Olympics in Rome, Italy. These were his favorite pair of riding boots he used and had them mounted as table lamps to enjoy in his later years. Fine leather and canvas boots are mounted with brass hardware on lacquered wood bases. They have a handsome vintage patina. Topped with wood finials. Shades not included.

Condition: Good. Age appropriate wear and light staining from use with a lovely vintage patina on leather. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor fading.
