French Louis XVI Carrara Marble Top Flame Mahogany Sideboard


Grand French mahogany sideboard server or buffet featuring a 1 inch thick Carrara marble slab top with a conforming ogee edge. Crafted in the neoclassical Louis XVI taste with bronze mounts. The case is constructed with radiant mahogany and features rare flame mahogany veneers on the doors and drawer fronts cut from the fork of the mahogany tree. The case has gracefully curved ends with 2 column style pilasters on the front. The case has five locking storage doors with original keys. Each door is decorated with bronze ribbon borders and rosettes. Supported by fluted and tapered legs ending with the brass sabots. Elegant sideboard from an estate in Bel Air, CA.
