French Empire Bronze Mounted Walnut Library Table Desk


Opulent walnut library table or writing table desk made in the grand Napoleon III Empire style. This table features a walnut veneered case showcasing the rich grain patterns and burls. The desk is fronted by a three drawer frieze with ample storage areas. The top is supported by neoclassical style bronze mounted columns having a fluted finish. The column legs are conjoined by a large shaped stretcher and end with round pillar feet that are bronze mounted and decorated with acanthus motifs. Lovely profile with an aged patina on the finish.
