Fantastic Japanese four panel Showa period screen depicting a river landscape with flora and fauna. Made in a Rimpa School style with a background of gold leaf squares covered with large gilt decorated areas. Colored pigments featuring delicate flowers, grasses, and birds. Signed and sealed on the bottom left and set in a tall black lacquered wooden frame with a light rose gold silk brocade border. The frame having period correct etched brass embellishments. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA.
