Early 20th Century Antique Persian Heriz Rug


Classic early 20th century antique Persian rug crafted from hand-knotted wool over a cotton warp. The carpet was woven in the village of Heriz in Northwest Iran Azerbaijan province. Centered by a star shaped medallion having layers of designs. The ruby red field is decorated with vibrant colors of blue, pink, and white. The border has a deep topaz blue with camel color on the inside and outside. Nicely decorated with tribal designs and motifs. From an estate in Hollywood, CA.

Condition: Good, minor wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully crafted with age appropriate wear, fading and minor losses. Wear on fringe as seen in photos.
