Country French Provincial Bedside Table Painted by Ira Yeager


Charming 19th century country french provincial farmhouse bedside table, nightstand, or side table featuring a painted, bust by artist Ira Yeager (American 1933-2022). The table is constructed from fruitwood with a tray style top having a scalloped, galleried edge. The top has a bust of a Frenchman with the Latin caption "Omnia Vanitas" or All is Vanity! Painted in the 20th century with a faux date of 1802. Ira loved painting 18th-century period french furniture for his studio. The table has a small storage drawer and a two-tier design with a bottom galleried shelf. Supported by elegant, gracefully curved legs. Provenance: From the Yager Gallerie in Calistoga, CA.
