Magnificent country French farmhouse trestle dining table or harvest table hand-crafted from bleached oak. The massive top is crafted from 2.5 inch thick oak timbers with a smooth finish. The trestle base has thick legs with decorative spandrels that are gracefully curved. The legs end with large shoe feet and are conjoined by a flat stretcher with exposed mortise and tenon joinery. Beautifully designed with excellent joinery and craftsmanship having a smooth light gloss finish on the bleached oak that showcases the rich grain patterns. Very heavy and solid circa 1960s. Ample leg room measuring nearly 27 inches from the floor to the bottom of the table.
