Grand late 19th century country English provincial oak farmhouse dining table constructed on a massive scale. Very heavy and solid featuring a 2.5-inch thick top with bread board ends. The top is supported by a trestle style base with an 18 inch large pull-out cutting board at one end and a small storage drawer on the opposite side. Constructed with wood peg joinery having ample leg room. The table measures 24 inches from the floor to the apron. Thick, chunky turned legs on blocks ending with bun feet are conjoined by a long stretcher. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship appearing to have a past restoration and dark rich finish that showcases the woodgrains. Beautifully crafted with quintessential "Euro skinny" dimensions and profile. Substantial table with a desirable aged patina.
