Charming grand country English folk art blanket chest or storage trunk crafted from pine measuring 3 feet wide. The chest features a later painted Georgian Manor house facade on three sides. The house is decorated with neoclassical architecture and Greco-Roman column motifs in the Trompe l'oeil style. The case facade is embellished with intricate details of windows having drapes and shutters, corniced moldings, and finials on the roof. The painted finish has a desirable aged patina and weathered finish as an aged 18th century house in the country English provincial aesthetic. The large trunk has a hinged top and iron handles on each side. The interior has clean open storage space inside. The pine case is supported by peg shaped feet. The box could serve as a blanket chest, side table, drinks table, or decorative display.
