Opulent Chinese export six-panel lacquered screen featuring nine white cranes over a gilt gold leaf background. The idyllic landscape screen has gracefully waving fronds with delicate, and intricate details. The lacquered panels have a dramatic high gloss finish over the gilt. The reverse side features foliate gilt bamboo stalks over a black lacquer ground. The screen is supported by square legs ending with patinated brass clad feet.
