Chinese Export Qing Four Panel Ivory Lacquered Coromandel Screen


Gorgeous Chinese export late Qing four panel coromandel screen featuring rare ivory colored lacquered panels incised with color pigments. The screen depicts an official with his attendants and court ladies under a pine tree in a fenced garden. Signed with an inscription and two seals on the left side. The screen has a geometric border with cartouches of dragons around the image. Beautifully distressed aged patina with losses and craquelure adding to its charm and character. The reverse side is void of decoration. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
