Gorgeous 20th century Chinese export four-panel coromandel screen featuring a landscape scene of flora and fauna. The lacquered panels are incised and painted with vibrant color pigments having a desirable faded patina. Decorated with large white flowering trees with mythical birds in red and green hues. The reverse side features a stark landscape at night. The screen is supported with square legs ending with patinated brass clad feet. Beautifully crafted with intricate details and rich, muted tones over a black ground. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
