Imposing Chinese export four-panel lacquered coromandel screen depicting a flora and fauna landscape with a dramatic pearlescent white sand background. Rare mint green foliage and white cranes stand out boldly against the black and white ground. The panels are crafted from wood with thick layers of lacquer that is incised and painted with vivid color pigments. Supported by square legs ending with brass clad feet. The reverse side features a stark bamboo landscape with a later added gold paint border visible on the two outside panels. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
