Bob Hope's Set of Six McGuire Rattan Dining Armchairs


Bob Hope owned set of six McGuire dining armchairs featuring a sage lacquer finish. From the estate of Bob and Dolores Hope on Southridge drive in Palm Springs, CA. These were their chairs that were used for entertaining guests at the card table of the John Lautner designed home. The rattan frames have an abundance of leather rawhide laces on the exposed joints. The back and sides of the chairs have a lovely open fretwork lattice design. Each chair has the original floral upholstered seat cushions with light stains. McGuire makers mark on bottom of chairs. Beautiful chairs in a bespoke finish with an interesting provenance.

Condition: Good, minor wear consistent with age and use. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with age appropriate wear. Minor scratches on legs and stained upholstery as seen in photos.
