19th Century Louis XIII Style Walnut Barley Twist Library Table


Gorgeous 19th century library table or writing table crafted from walnut. Made in the grand Baroque Louis XIII style featuring a trestle style base constructed with barley twist legs conjoined to barley twist stretchers with block joints ending with ball feet. The rectangular top has an ogee edge and showcases the rich walnut woodgrains. The case has a storage drawer in the front frieze with a brass ring pull. The table measures 23.5 inches from the floor to the apron and has a finial centered on the bottom stretcher. Strong joinery with a handsome profile and desirable aged patina.
