19th Century French Provincial Farmhouse Work Table or Console


Rustic 19th century country French provincial farmhouse work table or console table. Mixed wood construction of oak, walnut, and fruitwood featuring a thick plank wood top having breadboard ends with tongue and groove joinery. The table has a beautifully aged patina and wear on the finish. The case front has an unusual style of sliding doors on each side of a small center drawer. The case features mortise and tenon joinery with wood peg construction. Supported by a trestle base with thick, chunky square legs that have been chamfered. The legs are conjoined by a long H shaped stretcher. Classic French farmhouse profile with a rich patina that only comes from age. From an estate in Santa Barbara, CA. Perfect as a console or display table.
