19th Century French Iron Marble Top Pastry Table or Console

$20,000.00

Grand 19th century French pastry table, console table, bakery table, or garden table featuring a Carrara marble top in two book-matched slabs. The cast-iron base measures nearly 10 feet long and is supported by six round iron legs decorated with acanthus leaves in the neoclassical taste. The legs are tapered ending with whimsical ball feet. The apron is adorned with Arabesque or Moorish repeating shapes ending with ball finials on all sides of the table. The top of the work table consists of two long slabs of Italian Carrara marble measuring 60 inches each for a 10 foot long work surface. The marble tops have a lovely age and patina overhanging the iron base. The smooth marble tops are beautifully contrasted by the patinated finish of the iron. Perfect for a grand entry, large window, or garden conservatory.
