19th Century Country French Provincial Pine Console Table


Distinctive 19th century country French Provincial console table crafted from pine. Originally a kitchen work table or server having pull-out cutting boards on each side. The thick plank top has breadboard ends. The case is fronted by three storage drawers with old remnants of French newspapers lining the inside. The entire piece is constructed from thick pine planks with peg joinery. Full of character and charm having an aged patina on the finish and slightly sagging joinery. Provenance; purchased at Pennard House Antiques, Piccadilly Road London in Bath U.K. From an estate in Santa Barbara, CA.
